Light please

How difficult is to find interesting lighting in Brisbane? It is difficult!!! Or am I wrong. Please, give me some directions. I've seen these beauties in Laura Kincade shop in Sydney. ...and this one is my favorite. I am looking for a nice lantern for entry hall. Nothing elaborate, no frills, simple modern take of the classical lantern.

Oh,oh,oh, don't say that! If the interior designers aren't inspired by what's on offer in this 'lighting wasteland' then there is no hope for us mere mortals! I have been screaming this point for months Viera. I am ordering some of my lights from customlighting.com.au. Lily G is providing my stunning kitchen lights. The chandelier shop at Albion is good for the pretty stuff. Brass Magins at Bardon can source American Colonial style lighting. He is making a polished nickel hall lantern for me similar to your 3rd image. .... but please if you can find something similar to your last 2 images for me I would be your best friend forever!

Dont want to sound like a cheapskate but i was in Ikea the other day at Springwood and they had some very funky nice lighting. Another blogger Vickie Mademoiselle-Rose blogged a few weeks back about a great lighting shop in Brissie but from memory it was all vintage stuff. Maybe worth a look though? Love the pics you have shown, Mel xxx

I feel your pain! I find the same challenge here in Adelaide - there are no decent lighting shops ethat I am aware of here, certainly none that feature anything like these beautiful lights in your post. Good luck with your hunt!

I'm with you Viera - our only 'interesting' lighting store, the amazing Gordon White's closed last year when Gordon retired & I shed real tears when he did.
